“Mercy’s Rewards” Luke 6:36-38

V. 36

God’s mercy through the cross of Christ is both the example and the goal of our behavior toward other sinners. Rom. 5:8, 2Peter 3:9

  • Recognize sin as sin, but be merciful toward sinners . Eph. 4:32, Mt. 18:15, Gal. 6:1-2

  • The soil of forgiveness prevents the weeds of a critical spirit from growing in the garden of our heart and church.

V. 38

  • Those who are generous in their mercy toward others will find that God is even more generous.

  • I will be generous by not limiting my forgiveness toward _____________ and live the blessing.
