SERMON NOTES

“Are you full?” Acts 6:8-15

V. 8 Bold in Service and Witness

  • If Stephen could serve the needy, so can I.

  • If the Stephen could testify about Jesus, so can I.

  • I can live like Stephen, full of grace and power.

Vv. 9-10 By the Spirit

  • The earthly battles we face are truly spiritual battles that can only be won by the Spirit.

  • I can only be victorious in these battles by obeying Jesus and relying on the Holy Spirit.

Vv.11-15 Be Bold

I can be like Stephen, full of grace and power to heal and call people to faith in Jesus, because this is who I am and this is my purpose in Christ who has given me the gift of the Holy Spirit.
