Read Luke 5:1- 11

  • Jesus used his challenging situation to share the message. Where has God put you to show and share his grace?

  • Jesus commanded Peter to do something when Peter was tired and the command didn’t make sense, but Peter still obeyed.

  • In what area of your life do you need to obey Jesus word even when you think you know better and don’t feel like it and why? Proverbs 14:12, Matthew 28:20

  • Peter told Jesus he did not belong to Jesus due to his lack of faith. Why do you think Jesus saw Peter as a perfect person to share His Good News. How are you like Peter?

Group Questions

  • Share with the group a difficult person and/ or situation you are in, and discuss how you Jesus can use you in that situation according to His grace and power.

  • Discuss and plan a Gospel centered mission project. Make it personal.

My problems are opportunities . Write down 1 or 2 of these and how Jesus could turn these seemingly lemons into lemonade.

Vv. 4- 7

Jesus loves to turn our weak expectations into a radical reversal to bring us to greater faith in Him as Lord.

Vv. 8- 11   

In spite of my fear, I will rally myself to obey Jesus word that will bring the radical reversal in my life!
