Text: Luke 14:12-24

*Think about how Breaking Bread reflects God accepting you by His abundant forgiveness.

S.P.E.C.K.A. Bible Devotional Approach

Sin to confess: Is there a sin I need to confess or avoid?

Promise to claim: Is there a promise I need to believe and claim for my life?

Example to follow: Is there an example I can follow or avoid?

Command to obey: Is there a command in this text to obey?

Knowledge to understand: Is there knowledge about God or how he works?

Application to make: What will I do in response to what I have learned?

How to use S.P.E.C.K.A.

Personally: Read the whole text, then ask each SPECKA question, re-read the text and answer each question.
Growth Groups: In Bible time, share what you’ve learned. Hold each other accountable to the Application. Weekly, share the text with an outsider and share their response with your Growth Group.

“DEVOTED: community restored” Acts 2:41-47

God’s Spirit filled people were continually

DEVOTED to . . .

  1. Apostles’ Teaching: I will grow with others in my New Life and Witness in Christ by living out what I learn about the Gospel from the Bible.

  2. Fellowship: I will grow in Christ by Sharing All Things In Common with those in need.

  3. Breaking of Bread: I will Break Bread regularly with others to Interact and Accept them as Christ has forgiven me.

Prayer: We will depend on God together as we pray specifically for one another and for unbelievers to be saved.
