Background: There was no greater blessing for women in Israel that to give birth to a son who would continue God’s blessing to Israel through that family. Also, there was no greater curse than having no son.

Read 1 Samuel 1:1-8

  • List all of Hannah’s problems?

  • Why was her husband's response not enough?

  • What area of your life has brought you to tears?

Read 1 Samuel 1:9-11

  • How did Hannah respond to this situation?
